Considering the ASUS Vivobook 14 and Lenovo Legion 5 15", it's essential to balance cost against your needs. The Vivobook 14 is more affordable and offers decent performance for everyday tasks, being lighter and easier to carry around, yet it might struggle with demanding applications. On the other hand, the Legion 5 is pricier but tailored for intense workloads like gaming, 3D modeling, or machine learning with its higher-end graphics, faster refresh rate display, and stronger CPU. Its larger, sharper screen is a bonus for detailed work, but it's heavier, which limits portability and it might have shorter battery life due to its powerful components. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 14 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 14 offers fair portability and better battery life, making it suitable for on-the-go users, but with its less powerful CPU, smaller screen, and lower RAM, it may not handle demanding tasks as well as the Lenovo Legion 5. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a stronger CPU, more RAM, and a higher quality screen, which means better performance for intensive applications, but it's less portable and has shorter battery life, prioritizing power over mobility.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 14 is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" outperforms the ASUS Vivobook 14 in gaming and 3D tasks due to its higher-end Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a screen with a higher refresh rate of 165Hz, compared to the ASUS's integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a standard 60Hz screen. This means the Lenovo offers smoother visuals and better handling of graphics-intensive tasks, while the ASUS may have limitations in these aspects.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 14 is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is preferred for engineering and design work due to its superior processor, double the RAM, and a more powerful dedicated graphics card compared to the ASUS Vivobook 14, plus it has a higher resolution and brighter screen that enhances the visual experience. However, the ASUS Vivobook 14 is lighter and more portable, and its lower specs, while not as suited for demanding tasks, mean it operates quieter and could be preferable for everyday use or situations where portability and lower operating noise are more important.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Vivobook's fair screen quality stems from an average resolution and brightness, making it suitable for basic tasks but not outstanding in clarity or vibrance, whereas the Lenovo Legion 5's very good quality benefits from a higher resolution and brightness, offering sharper and more vivid visuals. With engineering and design work requiring precise color reproduction, the Vivobook's fair quality indicates limited color range, which may not cover the full spectrum of DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB, while the Legion 5's good quality suggests a wider color gamut, rendering it more accurate for professional color work. For gaming and 3D applications, the Vivobook's poor quality due to a low refresh rate can lead to less fluid motion, and the Legion 5's poor rating suggests a similar shortcoming, despite it possibly having better resolution and panel quality, which cannot compensate for the low refresh rate critical in these applications.

How the ASUS Vivobook 14 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
