For intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is better geared with higher graphics and processing capabilities, and it's more suitable if you need a stronger performance for these activities. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 offers more storage and memory, which is good for general use and multi-tasking. The Inspiron is also lighter and thinner, making it more portable. However, in exchange for its lower price, it lags behind the ASUS in performance for demanding tasks. If your priority is high-end gaming or engineering software, invest in the ASUS; if you want value for non-intensive tasks, consider the Dell. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and Dell Inspiron 15 3511 are both good for engineering and design, though the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is somewhat better.
The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 offers a high-refresh-rate screen and robust dedicated graphics, making it suitable for compute-intensive engineering and design tasks, whereas the Dell Inspiron 15 3511, with more RAM and a processor geared toward efficiency, is better for multitasking and general engineering work but less so for graphics-heavy applications. While the ASUS excels in performance and display quality, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, compared to the Dell, which is more portable and has longer battery life, but sacrifices on speaker and build quality.

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
Considering screen quality, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 likely offers a sharp and bright display suitable for everyday tasks, and its strong color reproduction makes it suitable for engineering and design work, yet falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. The Dell Inspiron 15 3511, with fair display quality across the board, would suffice for general tasks and work in engineering, but just like the ASUS, its display specs might not provide the smooth visuals serious gamers or 3D designers seek due to suboptimal refresh rate. Both laptops have trade-offs but are geared more towards the multitasker or student rather than the gaming enthusiast or professional 3D designer.

How the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 compare to other laptops
"The A16 makes an excellent case against more expensive laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 and the MSI Katana GF76, especially if you’re into 1080p gaming. However, although its affordable, it doesn’t skimp on performance or a robust chassis. But for me, the biggest factor that sets it apart from these options is its incredible battery life. In my time reviewing laptops, I can’t remember when I last saw a gaming laptop lasted 11 and a half hours on a single charge, which makes the A16, in my book, truly outstanding."
"The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a solid, if unremarkable, 15-inch budget laptop. It improves on many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model, and with the inclusion of Windows 11, the 3511 is already a step above its competition. The lack of a USB-C port, the subpar speakers, and the dim display are drawbacks to factor in, but it's still one of the better 15-inch budget laptops on the market, especially when you consider it's under $400."
