When deciding between the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and the Dell Alienware m18 R1, consider the following: if portability is important, the ASUS is lighter and easier to carry. However, the Dell offers more RAM, which can be crucial for more demanding tasks such as engineering applications. Both have high-quality displays and powerful graphics cards suitable for gaming and 3D tasks, but ASUS has a higher screen refresh rate, which is beneficial for fast-paced games. The Dell has a slightly larger screen, offering more space for productivity and entertainment at the expense of added weight and reduced portability. The ASUS is usually less expensive, making it a cost-effective option. The battery life is similar, but keep in mind the Dell's heavier weight means it's less suited for frequent travel. NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | March 2023
"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."

PCMag

Matthew Buzzi | July 2023
"Dell's Alienware m18 delivers on its promises: This is a large, powerful gaming laptop with the premium flair and feel you expect from an expensive purchase. The drawbacks are really the price and battery life, which in context are reasonable. (We'd also like to see more ports on the laptop's sides.) This price tier exists for deep-pocketed enthusiasts, and if you’re considering anything in this range, the m18 isn’t an outlier. For the majority of shoppers, of course, all of these mighty 18-inch systems are likely too expensive."
