When considering the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 and the HP Omen 16, you'll note that the ASUS usually comes at a higher price but offers an AMD Ryzen processor and an Nvidia RTX 3070 which can provide strong performance for both gaming and demanding software tasks. On the other hand, the HP Omen 16 is a bit heavier and bulkier and comes with an Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4060, potentially giving it an edge in newer-generation graphic performance, which might be of interest if you are keen on the latest games or 3D applications. The ASUS has a higher resolution display which may benefit creative work or entertainment, while the HP has a larger screen size which is more immersive but could be less portable as a result. Battery life is another consideration; the ASUS may offer longer usage between charges, which is valuable if you're often on the move. In essence, the ASUS leans more toward portability and high-resolution display, while the HP might provide better graphic performance and a more substantial screen size, making it possibly better suited for stationary gaming and creative work. Florian Glaser | February 2021
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | October 2021
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
