The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 offers a good balance of price, portability, and performance suitable for general use and gaming, with a higher battery life for on-the-go use. If you require top-tier performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H may be worth the higher price for its stronger GPU and CPU, despite having a lower battery life and portability. Both laptops have quality screens, but the ASUS provides higher resolution and better color coverage, which could be preferable for visual tasks, while the Gigabyte excels at handling fast motion graphics with its higher screen refresh rate. The trade-off between these models will depend on your budget, performance needs, and how much you value battery life and portability. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is good.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15, with its Nvidia RTX 3070 and a high refresh rate, is suited for gaming and 3D applications, but the Gigabyte Aorus 17H steps up the performance for those tasks with a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 and an even higher screen refresh rate. While the ASUS has a respectable display for smooth visuals, the Gigabyte excels with its screen's capability to render fast-moving images more fluidly, making it particularly appealing for high-end gaming and demanding 3D rendering tasks.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 are both very good for engineering and design, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is somewhat better.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is equipped with a powerful AMD CPU and RTX GPU along with a high-resolution display that offers accurate colors, making it suitable for demanding engineering and design tasks. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H comes with a newer generation Intel CPU and a more advanced RTX GPU, providing robust performance for similar tasks while also offering a larger screen, albeit at a lower resolution. Both laptops have ample RAM and storage for complex workflows, but the Gigabyte has a slight edge in raw performance, while the ASUS excels in screen quality.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 offers a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and brightness, making it excellent for tasks like browsing and video streaming, while its wide color gamut supports precise color work important for engineering and design. However, its lower refresh rate compared to dedicated gaming panels leads to less fluid motion, detracting from the gaming and 3D experience. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H also delivers a sharp and bright screen suited to everyday activities and has suitable color coverage for design work, but like the ASUS, its refresh rate isn't optimized for the high-speed visuals required by gamers and 3D professionals.

How the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
