Choosing between the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo LOQ 15, consider that the ASUS offers a high-end CPU and GPU combination suitable for gaming and engineering tasks but at a higher price and with moderate battery life; it's heavier and may be less convenient to carry. The Lenovo, on the other hand, is more affordable with decent performance capabilities and better battery life, which might be more suited for everyday use and carrying around. It also has a newer GPU but less overall power, making it less ideal for demanding tasks but better for longer unplugged usage. Both have good keyboards and IPS screens with full HD resolution, but the ASUS's screen is brighter and has a higher refresh rate which benefits gaming. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is more suited for gaming and 3D applications due to its higher-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a faster screen refresh rate of 300 Hz, compared to the Lenovo LOQ 15 which has a mid-range Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The higher GPU power and refresh rate in the ASUS offer smoother visuals and better performance for demanding tasks, but these features may come at a higher cost and potentially shorter battery life due to higher power consumption.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo LOQ 15 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 stands out for engineering and design with its powerful Intel i9 CPU and higher-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, making it suitable for intensive tasks, and its exceptionally high screen contrast ratio offers better visual clarity. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 15 features a potent AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU which also perform well in demanding applications; however, it has a brighter screen which can be an advantage in brightly lit environments, although its colors are less accurate than the ASUS. Both laptops are somewhat portable, with quality keyboards and manage heat effectively, but the Lenovo is slightly quieter, which might be appreciated in quieter working spaces.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
For general use, both the ASUS and Lenovo have panels with high resolution and brightness, making text and images crisp and ensuring visibility even in bright environments. In engineering and design work, the color accuracy and range of these laptops ensure precise color representation crucial for tasks like photo editing or CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their lower refresh rates lead to less fluid motion and responsiveness, which can detract from the immersive experience and fast-paced action these activities often require.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
