The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 provides high-end gaming performance due to a more powerful GPU and better refresh rates, making it suitable for intensive gaming and engineering software. However, it's less portable and has shorter battery life. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 offers good performance for general use and some gaming at a lower price, with slightly better battery life and portability. Both have similar keyboard quality, but the Lenovo has a higher-resolution screen with a taller aspect ratio, which may be preferable for productivity tasks and reading documents. Choose the ASUS if top gaming and engineering performance are critical, or the Lenovo for a balance of cost, portability, and versatile performance. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
