The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers excellent performance for 3D and machine learning tasks and is suitable for intensive gaming, but it is more expensive and has a shorter battery life. The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro is less expensive, has a sharper and brighter display with a higher resolution, and may be better for general use and engineering due to its screen's higher color accuracy. Both are similar in portability and offer ample connectivity, but you might prefer the Legion 5i Pro if you want a higher webcam and speaker quality. Choose the ASUS if you prioritize gaming and are willing to invest more for a performance edge. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i for gaming and AI, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i has a better screen for general use, and engineering and design.
When considering general use, the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i likely offers exceptional clarity and vibrancy, thanks to its higher resolution and brightness, making it ideal for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design professionals, its superior color accuracy encompassing DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB makes it a preferable choice for work requiring precise color representation. How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
