The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is a high-performance laptop well-suited for gaming, 3D rendering or intensive engineering tasks due to its powerful processor and graphics card. It's also equipped with a high-refresh rate screen for smooth visuals. However, it's less portable and has shorter battery life, making it less ideal for constant travel. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" is a budget-friendly option, best for general use like browsing, watching videos, or word processing. It's lightweight and has a fanless design for silent operation, but the performance is limited, and it is not suitable for demanding software or games. Choose the ASUS if performance is a priority or the Lenovo if you prefer portability and lower cost for basic tasks. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering general use, the ASUS has quality display features that provide clear visuals and bright images, making it suitable for everyday activities, while the Lenovo's display doesn't stand out, offering basic viewing that may not be as sharp or vibrant. For engineering and design, the ASUS excels with its ability to display a wide range of colors accurately, crucial for tasks that require precise color work, but the Lenovo falls short here as well, lacking in color depth and accuracy. For gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS's screen may not refresh as quickly, affecting fast-paced visuals, whereas the Lenovo, despite its lower overall quality, also suffers from a lack of fluid motion due to slower refresh rates.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The IdeaPad 1 14 is a simple machine, but it’s well-designed and has nearly everything you’d expect from a no-nonsense laptop that allows you to check emails and get schoolwork or other light tasks done with relative ease. A "true" 128GB SSD (as opposed to an eMMC drive) and a roomy 14-inch full HD display are arguably the star attractions, with the comfortable keyboard and reasonably modern styling playing important backup roles."
