If you're looking for a machine geared towards intensive gaming or tasks like 3D rendering, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 with its high-end graphics card and processor will serve you well, despite it being more expensive and having a lower battery life. In contrast, the HP EliteBook 845 G9, though more affordable and with longer battery life, is better suited for general use and business needs. It is also lighter and thus more portable, but it won't match the performance of the ASUS for demanding applications. The ASUS also has a high refresh rate display which is ideal for gaming, whereas the HP has a higher resolution display better for productivity tasks. Both laptops are well-built, but only the ASUS provides a customizable RGB backlit keyboard and hardware tailored for gaming aesthetics. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
