The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is a high-performance laptop with a larger screen and higher refresh rate, making it suitable for gaming and intensive engineering work, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 offers portability with its lighter weight and longer battery life, as well as a touchscreen, and is designed as a premium business laptop, but it has a smaller screen with a lower refresh rate and may not handle intensive graphics tasks or gaming as well as the ASUS. If top-tier gaming and engineering capabilities are needed and portability is less of a concern, the ASUS could be the preferred choice, whereas for business purposes, daily carry, and general use, the Lenovo could be the more convenient option. NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | March 2023
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."

PCMag

Brian Westover | September 2022
"In the premium ultraportable space, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 competes with the best of the best, and still manages to shine. The design is an impressive departure from the bland bare-metal laptop that's become so popular in recent years, and the AMD-powered system has performance that's just as impressive. It's a stark alternative to the Intel-based majority, and it stands up well enough to the impressive Apple M2 processor."
