Choosing between the ASUS ROG Strix G18 and the Lenovo Legion 7i Pro involves several considerations. The ASUS model offers RGB keyboard lighting, a higher contrast ratio, and slightly superior brightness, which can make the screen more vivid for gaming and entertainment. In contrast, the Lenovo boasts more RAM for better multitasking and a slightly higher battery capacity for prolonged use, as well as a smaller power brick making it a tad more travel-friendly. Both laptops are similarly priced and have robust processing power suitable for engineering, gaming, and intensive 3D and machine learning tasks. If weight is a concern, the Lenovo is lighter, and it also has a higher portability score, making it a better option if you move around often. However, the ASUS has a slightly longer battery life and a higher general use performance, which could be advantageous for extended work sessions without a power source. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | March 2023
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | February 2023
"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
