For superior gaming aesthetics and a numpad-equipped keyboard, the ASUS ROG Strix G18 stands out and comes with a slightly larger screen and higher performance potential for intensive tasks but sacrifices portability and is at a higher price range. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X, while less expensive, offers better portability with a lighter design and marginally longer battery life, making it a more travel-friendly option with similar technical capabilities and is suitable for gaming. Both laptops support high refresh rate displays and extensive color gamut coverage, boosting the experience for gaming and content creation. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize crisp text and clear images for everyday tasks, the ASUS ROG Strix G18's high resolution and bright display make it ideal for general use. When working on projects that require color accuracy, such as video editing or graphic design, the G18's wide color gamut will ensure your work looks true to life. However, if fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering is your main focus, the lower refresh rate of the ASUS G18 compared to typical gaming laptops might make fast-moving images less smooth.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G18 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15X compare to other laptops
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
