The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers powerful performance appropriate for intensive engineering, 3D rendering, and high-end gaming thanks to its higher-end processor and more efficient cooling system. However, it's less portable due to its larger size and weight. The MSI Katana 15, on the other hand, is more affordable and lighter, making it easier to carry, yet it has less battery capacity and a processor not as powerful as the ASUS's, which may not be ideal for demanding applications but is ample for general use and moderate gaming. Both have similar graphics capabilities and ample storage for most users. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the MSI Katana 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers a high-resolution display and brightness suitable for general use and engineering, as well as a broad color gamut that ensures color accuracy in design tasks. How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the MSI Katana 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The MSI Katana 15 B12 combines a Gen12 CPU with an RTX 4050, which is actually not a bad idea for a budget gamer. The CPU is anything but bad and the GPU in the Katana 15 proves to be significantly more efficient than last year's models. However, our main point of criticism for budget gamers is the price: while you can get budget laptops with RTX 3060 from around US$800, you pay a whole US$1,499.99 here! The efficiency advantages of the RTX 4050 do not justify this price premium."
