For intensive engineering tasks, video editing, or gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 with its larger screen and better performance may be your preferred choice, but it is less portable due to its size and weight. The Eluktronics RP-15, on the other hand, is more portable and offers a higher battery life, making it more suitable for on-the-go use or general purposes. Both have similar price points, but bear in mind that the ASUS comes with a larger storage capacity, while the Eluktronics has a slightly smaller screen size with a different aspect ratio, which could impact your viewing experience. How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Eluktronics RP-15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
