The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is tailored for those who prioritize strong gaming performance at a lower price, though it comes with a slightly smaller battery and less storage compared to the HP Omen 16. The HP Omen, on the other hand, offers better graphics, a larger screen, and a significantly better battery, albeit typically at a higher cost. If top-notch gaming performance and a bigger, brighter display are important to you and you don't mind spending a bit more, the HP Omen 16 is the way to go. However, if you prefer to save money and get a machine that still performs well for gaming and other demands, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a solid choice. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 16 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix G15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 and HP Omen 16 likely have high resolutions and panel types that render sharp, clear images with accurate colors, making them suitable for tasks like document editing and web browsing, which fall under general use. Their screens must also cover a wide range of color gamuts, which is essential for professionals working on engineering and design projects that require precise color accuracy. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial, their lower refresh rates could result in less fluid visuals, hence the poor quality rating in that aspect.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and the HP Omen 16 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
