The ASUS ROG Strix G15 offers excellent performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks, thanks to its powerful Ryzen processor and RTX graphics, but it's priced higher and has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for long-term mobility. Conversely, the Gigabyte G5 is easier on the wallet and slightly lighter, with a newer generation RTX graphics card that's suitable for gaming and creative work, yet it comes with less storage and RAM which may require future upgrades if you handle complex projects or multitask heavily. Both have ample ports and non-touch, high refresh rate displays, but if frequent travel and longer unplugged work are key, the Gigabyte might be preferred, while the ASUS is tailored for high-performance needs in a stationary setting. NotebookCheck

Marius Schell | February 2021
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."

NotebookCheck

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam | April 2023
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
