The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is pricier and provides superior performance, making it well-suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks as it includes a powerful AMD processor and Nvidia graphics. Its keypad has a number pad, RGB backlighting, and additional features like hardware ray tracing and DLSS which enhance gaming and graphic-intensive applications. However, its heavier weight makes it less portable, and the battery life is shorter, affecting its usability on the go. Conversely, the Gateway 15.6" is less expensive and more portable due to its lighter weight and longer battery life, but it has an Intel processor with integrated graphics which is less capable for demanding tasks. It lacks a number pad, the extensive connectivity options, and the gaming-centric features of the ASUS model. The Gateway is still suitable for general use and some light engineering work, though it won't handle intensive tasks as effectively as the ASUS. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS offers a clear and bright display with high resolution, which makes text sharp and colors vibrant, contributing to a pleasant viewing experience, while the Gateway offers acceptable quality, which is adequate for everyday tasks but might not be as sharp or as vivid. In engineering and design, the ASUS shines with a wider color gamut, providing more accurate color representation which is essential for precision work, whereas the Gateway's fair color range may suffice for less demanding tasks but may not satisfy professional color needs. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS' lower refresh rate may lead to less fluid motion, a setback for fast-paced visuals, while both laptops might not deliver the optimal experience for hardcore gaming due to their screen limitations.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and the Gateway 15.6" compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
