If you're looking for high performance in gaming or resource-intensive tasks, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is a solid choice but comes at a higher cost and is less portable. In contrast, the HP Victus 15 offers affordability and better portability, yet it may not handle intense workloads or gaming as smoothly as the ASUS. The decision hinges on whether you prioritize raw power and are prepared to invest more, or if affordability and ease of carrying are your main concerns, with a tradeoff in performance. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is good for gaming and AI, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition outperforms the HP Victus 15 in gaming and 3D tasks primarily due to its stronger GPU, the AMD RX 6800M, and a much higher screen refresh rate of 300, compared to the RTX 3050 and 144 refresh rate in the HP Victus 15. While both have decent CPUs and IPS displays for screen quality, the ASUS's superior GPU and refresh rate are very important for a smoother and more immersive gaming experience.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize crisp visuals and clear images for everyday tasks like browsing the internet or working on documents, both the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and the HP Victus 15 offer screens that deliver in terms of resolution and brightness. However, for professional engineering and design work where accurate color reproduction is crucial, the ASUS pulls ahead due to its wider color gamut capability. For gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key, the ASUS might disappoint because it lacks the high refresh rate that's more conducive to fast-paced visuals.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
