Since you are considering the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the MSI Thin GF63, the decision comes down to what's more important for you between performance and portability versus cost-effectiveness. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is known for being compact and versatile with higher performance, suited for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D, or machine learning. It is also designed as a 2-in-1 device, offering the functionality of both a tablet and a laptop which might be useful for engineering tasks. On the other hand, the MSI Thin GF63 offers good performance for general use and some gaming at a more affordable price, but it won't match the ASUS in terms of raw power or flexibility. It is also typically more lightweight and portable than more powerful gaming laptops, which is a plus if you are on the move often. However, the MSI might not handle high-end gaming or professional graphic work as well as the ASUS. You'll have to consider if the performance edge and versatility of the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 are worth the additional cost compared to the MSI Thin GF63, which offers a balance between moderate performance and value. NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | March 2022
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."

Tom's Hardware

Charles Jeffries | November 2022
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
