The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is less expensive, more portable, and offers a touch screen with a smaller, sharper display that's good for everyday use and can handle some gaming and engineering tasks. However, if power is your priority and you're okay with a higher price and less portability, the MSI Raider GE78 has a larger screen, significantly stronger performance suitable for the most demanding games, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software, along with more storage and memory, but it comes with a heavier build and a larger power adapter. The MSI Raider GE78 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 for gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
If you value a clear and vibrant display for tasks like web browsing, video streaming, or document work, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the MSI Raider GE78 offer excellent resolution and brightness that ensure crisp and vivid images. For engineering and design software, which often requires precise color representation, both the Flow Z13 and Raider GE78 cover a wide range of color gamuts, providing accurate colors critical for detailed work. However, for gaming and 3D tasks that demand fluid motion and fast response times, the lower refresh rates of these laptops might not deliver the smooth visuals you'd get from models with higher refresh rates, despite their decent resolution and panel types.

"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
