The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is pricier and more suitable for intensive gaming with a high-performance CPU and GPU, making it well-suited for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. However, its portability is limited due to its weight and smaller screen size compared to the LG Gram 17. On the other hand, the LG Gram 17 is less expensive, offers more storage and RAM, and is highly portable due to its larger screen and lightweight design, but it is less capable for gaming or intensive tasks due to its integrated graphics. The LG Gram 17 and ASUS ROG Flow Z13 are both very good for general use, though the LG Gram 17 is somewhat better.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13, with its powerful i9 CPU and dedicated Nvidia GPU, offers robust performance for general use, and its compact and detachable form factor enhances portability but comes with shorter battery life. Conversely, the LG Gram 17 has a slightly less powerful i7 CPU and integrated graphics, suited for everyday tasks, while offering a larger screen, longer battery life, and superior portability due to its incredibly lightweight design for a 17-inch laptop. Both have high-quality displays and ample RAM, but the Gram's larger storage and quiet operation make it a strong competitor for those valuing more space and a quieter experience.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the LG Gram 17 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the LG Gram 17 has a better screen for software development.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a vibrant, high-resolution display that excels in clarity and detail, making it excellent for both general use and precise engineering work due to its wide color gamuts covering ranges sought by professionals. However, its lower refresh rate might not be ideal for gaming and 3D applications, where smoother motion is crucial for an optimal experience. Conversely, the LG Gram 17 offers generous screen real estate and good color accuracy for general tasks and design-related activities, but also falls short for gaming and 3D content due to a similar lack of high refresh rates.

How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
