For intensive engineering and 3D/machine learning tasks where high performance and screen resolution are essential, the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 offers specialized graphics and a larger, sharper display. However, it is significantly heavier and less portable. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13, while more portable and with a high-refresh rate touchscreen ideal for gaming and general use, doesn't have the same level of professional graphics capability as the Lenovo, but still delivers good performance for a variety of tasks. Both laptops are priced similarly, and while the ASUS is lighter and has a smaller screen, the Lenovo offers longer battery life and a more robust set of features suited to professional work environments. NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | March 2022
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | February 2023
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
