Choosing between the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i involves several considerations. The Flow Z13 is more portable and offers better performance for general use, also having a touchscreen and a higher brightness. It's equipped with a powerful processor and is suitably built for intensive gaming. Compared to the Legion Slim 5i, it has a smaller screen but provides higher color accuracy, making it better for tasks that require precise colors. In contrast, the Legion Slim 5i is less expensive, has a bigger screen and a longer battery life, making it a better choice for prolonged work sessions. Both laptops have high-quality keyboards, sufficient for everyday typing and gaming. If budget constraints are a critical factor, the Legion Slim 5i offers a balance of performance and price, but if you prioritize portability and display quality, the Flow Z13 is the superior option. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers a high-resolution display with vibrant colors, crucial for detailed tasks in engineering and design where accurate color representation is key, but its lower refresh rate may not be optimal for the fast-paced visuals required in gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo Legion Slim 5i also provides a sharp and bright display for everyday tasks, ensuring clear and vivid visuals for productivity and media consumption, yet its color range might be slightly less expansive, making it less ideal than the ASUS for professional color work. Despite both laptops having great panels for general activities, neither is best suited for gaming or 3D work due to their poorer refresh rates, which could lead to less fluid motion and responsiveness.

How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
