As no specific details about the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 or the Lenovo Legion 5 17" were provided earlier, I don't have the ability to access and analyze the specifications and differences between these laptops. To help you decide which laptop to buy, consider the following:
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a highly portable device with a detachable keyboard, making it more versatile for travel and flexibility in use. If you need a device that can double as a tablet and is easy to carry, this could be a suitable option. These characteristics often appeal to professionals or students who are always on the move. However, due to its smaller size, it may have less room for cooling, which could impact its ability to handle prolonged intensive tasks.
On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 17" is likely to offer a larger display and potentially better cooling given its size, which is beneficial for gaming, engineering software, and multimedia tasks. This would be a better choice if you're looking for sustained performance during resource-intensive work like 3D modeling, video editing, or modern gaming. Due to its size, it’s less portable, which might be a disadvantage if you need to frequently transport your laptop.
Make sure to consider the specific performance hardware each model offers, like the processor, graphics card, RAM, and storage, as these will directly affect the laptop's capabilities for your intended use. Balancing these factors with your budget and determining which aspects – portability, performance, or display size – are most important to your daily activities will guide you towards the most suitable choice. How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Lenovo Legion 5 17" compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 17 is a current-gen 17-inch gaming laptop and equipped with the latest AMD CPU and a powerful GPU, that manages to reach its full potential. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H is a very good choice for this laptop and able to maintain its performance level for long periods of time. Our test model only falls behind consistently in a direct comparison with its competitors that are often equipped with eight cores and 16 threads. Despite this, the Legion 5 17 leaves an excellent impression and is almost able to keep up with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU in synthetic benchmarks."
