The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers top-tier performance, especially for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, thanks to its advanced processor and dedicated graphics card. It's more expensive but comes with a higher resolution touchscreen, superior color coverage, and a 165Hz refresh rate which is good for fast motion. However, with a smaller screen and less weight, it's more portable. The ASUS Vivobook 15X is more affordable and weighs more but has a larger screen, though it lacks a touchscreen and offers lower performance due to its integrated graphics. It's more suited for general use and not intensive tasks like gaming or engineering. Battery life on the ROG Flow Z13 is shorter, affecting its usability on the go, compared to the Vivobook 15X. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is good.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 surpasses the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use primarily due to its higher-end CPU and RAM, which contribute to faster and smoother performance, as well as its superior screen quality that offers better visual experiences. While both machines are portable, the Flow Z13 also has a longer battery life, which is crucial for use without frequent recharging, though it comes at a higher price than the Vivobook 15X, which has more modest specs but may still handle everyday tasks at a more affordable cost.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 15X is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 outshines the ASUS Vivobook 15X for engineering and design use due to its superior main processor, double the RAM, and a more powerful GPU which are all very important for such tasks, also boasting a higher resolution and brighter screen with better color accuracy, enhancing visual work quality. While the Vivobook 15X offers a larger screen size and is slightly lighter, which slightly improves its portability, the trade-off in performance-related specs, particularly the lesser CPU and GPU, and lower screen quality make it less optimal for engineering and design applications.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers a superior screen with higher resolution and brightness, making it excellent for activities like web browsing, document work, and video watching, which are common in general use. For engineering and design, this laptop's higher coverage of professional color gamuts ensures accurate color reproduction which is crucial for tasks such as graphic design or video editing. However, for gaming and 3D applications, although the Z13 has a good panel type and resolution, its lower refresh rate does not match the smoother visuals that games often benefit from, making it less ideal for such fast-paced activities compared to screens with higher refresh rates.

"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
