To help you decide whether the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 or the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is better for you, consider the following tradeoffs: The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers great portability with its lightweight, tablet-like design, and detachable keyboard, which could be ideal for on-the-go usage and versatility; however, its performance may not match that of the larger ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, which is more powerful, making it better suited for demanding tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning projects. The Strix Scar 15 likely has better cooling due to its larger chassis, enabling sustained performance, but it's less portable than the Flow Z13. If battery life is important, the Flow Z13 may outlast the Scar 15 due to its potentially more power-efficient design. Ultimately, if you value portability and are fine with good but not top-tier performance, the Flow Z13 may be the better deal; if you prioritize top performance for intensive tasks and don’t mind a less portable device, the Scar 15 could be worth the extra expense. How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
