The ASUS ROG Flow X16 offers top-tier performance with its AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX graphics, making it suitable for intensive tasks like engineering, 3D work, and gaming. It boasts a higher resolution display, more storage, and a 2-in-1 design that allows it to double as a tablet, enhancing its versatility. However, it's on the pricey side and not as portable due to its weight.
In contrast, the HP Victus 15 is more affordable and provides solid performance for general use and lighter gaming or 3D tasks with its Intel processor and Nvidia graphics, although it has less storage and a standard FHD screen. Its greater portability comes from being lighter than the ASUS, but also less powerful, which is a consideration if you're planning on heavy use.
Ultimately, if you prioritize performance for demanding applications and don't mind the extra cost and weight, the ASUS is a better fit. If you value portability, cost savings, and have moderate usage needs, the HP Victus 15 is a sensible choice. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Flow X16 is very good for engineering and design, while the HP Victus 15 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Flow X16 stands out for engineering and design due to its superior AMD Ryzen CPU, ample RAM, high-end Nvidia RTX GPU, and a high-quality screen with better resolution and color coverage, which is essential for detailed design work. In comparison, the HP Victus 15 has a capable Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, but with less RAM and a lower screen quality, it doesn't quite reach the higher performance benchmarks of the ASUS, although it may be preferred for its slightly better portability and keyboard backlit that supports nighttime work.

The ASUS ROG Flow X16 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS ROG Flow X16's higher resolution and brightness make it display clearer, sharper images and text, and are more visible in various lighting conditions compared to the HP Victus 15. In tasks related to engineering and design, the ASUS's wider color gamut coverage means it can represent colors more accurately, which is crucial for precise work, whereas the HP's more limited color gamut might result in less accurate color representation. However, in gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of the ASUS may lead to less fluid motion and responsiveness, making it less suitable for fast-paced scenes than laptops designed specifically for gaming.

"Above all else, the Asus ROG Flow X16 is one thing - versatile! It is a thin, mobile work device, it's a 2-in-1, tablet, a powerful workstation and even a gaming PC. But something even more surprising: It does all of these things really well without making any big blunders. It's anything but a lazy compromise. Because, despite its compact dimensions and 2-in-1 functionality, the hardware isn't throttled and boasts, at least in turbo mode, above-average performance."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
