The ASUS R410MA is a more affordable option with basic specifications for everyday tasks; however, it has a lower-resolution screen and less storage and memory. The MSI Modern 14 costs a bit more, but offers better performance with a faster processor, higher screen resolution, and more memory and storage, making it suitable for more demanding operations like engineering applications. While the MSI has a slightly smaller battery capacity than the ASUS, it compensates with its overall better hardware capabilities. Give Feedback

The MSI Modern 14 has a better screen than the ASUS R410MA for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS R410MA's screen is likely dim and lacks crispness due to a lower resolution, which is noticeable in daily tasks and particularly problematic for detailed engineering work and gaming, where sharp images are crucial. The MSI Modern 14 provides a somewhat clearer and brighter display, enhancing the experience for everyday use and technical applications, although it still falls short for gaming, where fast motion requires higher refresh rates it doesn't provide. Despite these limitations, the MSI Modern 14 could be more suitable for general use and engineering than the ASUS R410MA, but both may disappoint gamers and those involved in 3D work who need high refresh rates for smooth visuals.

"The Asus Laptop L410 is a super-affordable PC, even among budget notebooks, compromising on the display and processing power to deliver a serviceable Windows machine with good battery life and useful ports. The build is reasonably solid, there’s a good mix of ports, battery life is long enough, and it can perform basic everyday tasks. On the flip side, the screen is poor, anything other than basic tasks is a tough ask, and it has little memory and even less storage."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
