Choosing between the ASUS R410MA and the Gateway 15.6", consider your needs closely. The ASUS is considerably less expensive and more portable due to its lighter weight and smaller screen, suitable for general usage like browsing and document editing. However, the Gateway offers a more powerful Intel i5 processor, substantially more storage, and increased RAM, which is better for more demanding tasks such as programming and light photo editing. The Gateway also boasts a superior IPS display with better resolution, providing a nicer screen for media consumption and detailed work. If you require long battery life and ease of carrying, the ASUS might be preferable, but if performance and a quality screen are priorities, the Gateway is the better option, albeit at a higher cost. PCMag

Matthew Buzzi | August 2021
"The Asus Laptop L410 is a super-affordable PC, even among budget notebooks, compromising on the display and processing power to deliver a serviceable Windows machine with good battery life and useful ports. The build is reasonably solid, there’s a good mix of ports, battery life is long enough, and it can perform basic everyday tasks. On the flip side, the screen is poor, anything other than basic tasks is a tough ask, and it has little memory and even less storage."

PCMag

Francisco Lahoz | July 2022
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
