The ASUS R410MA is a budget-friendly option that offers basic functionality and portability due to its smaller size and lower weight. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 15X, costing more, provides better performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering, with a more powerful processor, graphics, and a higher quality, larger display. The Vivobook also has a backlit keyboard and additional ports that the R410MA lacks. Choose the R410MA for simple tasks and portability or opt for the Vivobook 15X if you need better performance and a more comfortable viewing experience despite its higher price and slightly more weight. The ASUS Vivobook 15X has a better screen than the ASUS R410MA for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS R410MA's screen might disappoint due to its lower resolution and dimmer display, impacting your viewing and working experience, particularly for tasks like browsing and document editing. For engineering and design, the lack of wide color gamuts means colors won't be as accurate or vibrant, which is vital for detailed graphical work. In terms of gaming and 3D applications, the screen's lower refresh rate can lead to less smooth visuals, which could hinder fast-paced gaming and dynamic rendering.

"The Asus Laptop L410 is a super-affordable PC, even among budget notebooks, compromising on the display and processing power to deliver a serviceable Windows machine with good battery life and useful ports. The build is reasonably solid, there’s a good mix of ports, battery life is long enough, and it can perform basic everyday tasks. On the flip side, the screen is poor, anything other than basic tasks is a tough ask, and it has little memory and even less storage."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
