Choosing between the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (Late 2023) and the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 depends on your preferences and needs. The MacBook Pro, with its premium price, offers a larger screen, exceptional build quality, a powerful integrated GPU suited for professionals, and significantly better battery life, making it ideal for intensive tasks that require endurance and a high-quality display. However, it is heavier and less portable. On the other hand, the more affordable ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is lighter, making it highly portable, and includes a touch screen with a higher refresh rate, a dedicated gaming-class GPU, and a powerful Intel processor, which is great for gaming and engineering tasks. Yet, it has lower battery life and not as high build quality as the MacBook Pro. The ASUS's gaming appearance might not be suitable if you're looking for a laptop with a professional look. The Apple MacBook Pro 16, with its efficient CPU and ample RAM, delivers smooth performance for general tasks, while its high-quality screen, long battery life, and superior speakers offer a premium user experience, though it's less portable due to its size and weight. In contrast, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 provides similar performance with good portability thanks to its smaller form factor, while still maintaining decent screen quality and battery life, but it might not match the MacBook Pro's build quality and could run louder under heavy load.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (Late 2023) and the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2023: M2 Max challenges GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new MacBook Pro 16 2023 with the M2 Max SoC is the most powerful laptop Apple has on sale right now. While we do not get the expected performance and efficiency improvements from completely new 3 nm chips, which we expected ahead of the launch, the 2023 model is still a solid update. The CPU of the M2 Max can be up to 20 % faster than the old model and we also see an advantage of 25-30 % for the GPU with 38 cores. However, both components also consume more power, so the efficiency did not change that much under maximum load."
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
