The MacBook Pro 14 offers a high-resolution Mini LED display, light weight for portability, and long battery life, ideal for on-the-go use and general tasks. It runs macOS and integrates well with other Apple products. Its performance is suitable for general use and lighter engineering tasks but less so for intensive 3D rendering or machine learning. In contrast, the MSI Pulse GL66 is heavier with a lower battery life and runs Windows. It's better suited for gaming and demanding engineering tasks due to its powerful Intel processor and Nvidia graphics. However, it's less portable and has a standard IPS screen with a lower resolution. If portability and display quality are priorities and your tasks aren't too demanding, the MacBook Pro may be the better option; for intensive gaming and engineering work, consider the MSI Pulse GL66. NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | January 2023
"In the Apple MacBook Pro 14 2023, the M2 Pro is slowed down. From the improved 5nm process, the new M2 Pro is a very solid upgrade. Graphics performance has increased by about 25% in tandem with a clear improvement in efficiency. The processor has also seen a performance leap of up to 20%, but this is accompanied by an increase in consumption of up to 25%. Fundamentally, Apple its maintaining its advantage over AMD and Intel, particularly in optimized applications where the results are very good in view of the comparatively low power consumption."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | April 2022
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
