If you prioritize a more premium build with a high-resolution screen, longer battery life, and strong performance for general use as well as for engineering and demanding creative tasks, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) would be an excellent choice, albeit at a higher price point. On the other hand, if you need more storage, additional RAM, and a touch screen for versatility at a lower cost, the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 could be more appealing, especially if a 2-in-1 form factor and having Windows as the operating system are important to you. The MacBook Pro is less portable due to its weight and draws its advantage from a superior screen and overall build quality, while the Inspiron provides more ports, potentially making it more convenient for connecting peripherals. Both laptops cater well to general use, but for high-end tasks, the MacBook Pro generally offers better performance. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) boasts a high-resolution Retina display with vibrant colors and excellent brightness, making it suitable for general use and design tasks that require precise color representation, but its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications. The Dell Inspiron 14 7425 offers a fair-quality display that is adequate for general tasks and engineering designs but may not cover as wide a color gamut, which can be a drawback for color-critical work. Additionally, its screen's lower refresh rate and potential limited color range make it less ideal for gaming and 3D work, where fluid motion and accurate color rendering are crucial.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 offers a lot to like, especially at its oft-discounted price of $800. It’s a sturdy laptop with strong performance, a convertible touchscreen, loud speakers, and a convenient fingerprint reader. But the trade-offs you’ll make in pursuit of that lower price—most notably the dim display and stiff trackpad—might just keep you from outright loving it."
