The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is a good fit if you value a lightweight design and silent operation, along with a high-quality display and excellent build quality. It also offers long battery life ideal for work on the go. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is a suitable option if you need more power for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering, thanks to its superior processing and graphics capability. Additionally, the MSI has more RAM and storage out of the box but comes with a tradeoff in portability, weight, and shorter battery life, making it less ideal for frequent travel. Give Feedback

The MSI Pulse GL66 is good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is only fair.
The MacBook Air has an Apple GPU which is less powerful for gaming and 3D applications than the MSI Pulse GL66's Nvidia RTX 3070, and its screen refresh rate is lower at 60Hz compared to the MSI's 144Hz, making the latter better suited for high frame-rate gaming. Furthermore, many games are incompatible with macOS, limiting the MacBook's gaming potential, whereas the MSI runs Windows, which supports a vast gaming library, and includes features like hardware ray tracing and DLSS that enhance gaming and 3D performance.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Air features a high-resolution display with vibrant colors, making it excellent for general use and engineering tasks where color accuracy is crucial. However, its screen lacks a high refresh rate that is necessary for smooth visuals in 3D applications and gaming. In contrast, the MSI Pulse GL66's screen may not be as bright or color-accurate, which makes it less suitable for professional design work and less appealing for everyday tasks, and its lower refresh rate means it's not ideal for gaming where quick screen updates are essential.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
