If cost is a significant factor, the HP Victus 15 may be a better choice as it offers good value for everyday activities and some gaming at a lower price point. On the other hand, the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) commands a higher price but provides a sleek design, potentially better build quality, longer battery life, and a more seamless experience with other Apple products. If your work involves resource-intensive tasks, the MacBook Air might deliver better performance, particularly for multimedia editing or software development within the Apple ecosystem. However, if gaming or price-to-performance ratio is a priority, the HP could serve you well, albeit with a likely sacrifice in battery life and portability. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air 15 with its Apple M2 CPU and integrated GPU performs well for engineering and design tasks thanks to its high-quality screen and silent operation, but it's less portable due to a lower battery life. The HP Victus 15, while heavier and noisier, offers a powerful Intel CPU and dedicated Nvidia GPU, making it suitable for intensive tasks, plus it has a high refresh rate screen, but falls short in display color accuracy compared to the MacBook.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the HP Victus 15 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Air, with its high-resolution and bright display, offers vivid and sharp visuals, making it excellent for general use and detail-oriented work like engineering and design, complemented by strong color accuracy covering a wide range of color gamuts. However, its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications, where smooth motion is a priority. In contrast, the HP Victus 15, while acceptable for everyday tasks, may not deliver the same level of color precision for professional design work and its standard refresh rate, along with lower resolution and panel quality, might not provide the immersive experience desired by gamers and those working with 3D graphics.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the HP Victus 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
