The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the HP Omen 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the HP Omen 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the MacBook Air's screen excels due to its high resolution and brightness, providing crisp and clear visuals, while the HP Omen's screen offers a good balance for everyday tasks but might not be as vibrant. In engineering and design, the MacBook Air's wider color gamut ensures accurate color representation which is crucial for detailed work, something that the HP Omen might not deliver to the same extent. However, the MacBook Air's lower refresh rate makes it less suitable for 3D work where the HP Omen's better refresh rate would provide smoother visuals, even though its resolution and panel quality might only be moderate.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the HP Omen 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
