The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is typically slightly less expensive than the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo and offers a balance of good battery life and solid performance for general use, with high screen and build quality, and the benefit of a fanless, silent design for quiet environments. In contrast, the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo, which is often slightly more expensive, provides more storage, greater memory, and a higher performance processor ideal for more intensive engineering tasks, 3D and machine learning, as well as better capabilities for multitasking. Its OLED touchscreen is an advantage for creative tasks and it features a higher refresh rate for smoother visuals but has lower battery life, making it less suitable for prolonged use without access to power. Both laptops have build quality and solid performance for day-to-day activities, but the ASUS excels in scenarios demanding high performance and the MacBook Air in portability and efficiency. Choose according to your primary use, the importance of a touchscreen and overall longevity of use on a single charge. Give Feedback

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is good.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo surpasses the MacBook Air 15 in engineering and design due to its more powerful Intel i7 processor, greater RAM, and superior graphics capabilities, alongside a screen with higher color accuracy, which is crucial for design work. Conversely, the MacBook Air offers much better portability because of its lighter design, but its lesser RAM and Apple M2 chip, while still powerful, might lag behind in the most demanding tasks of engineering software, albeit with a high-quality display still suitable for design.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Air 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, both the MacBook Air and the ASUS ZenBook Pro offer displays with high resolution and brightness, ensuring crisp text and vibrant images. In engineering and design, they excel due to wide color gamuts, providing accurate colors essential for detailed work. However, for 3D applications and gaming, the lower refresh rates on both laptops make for less smooth visuals, which might detract from the experience where fluid motion is crucial.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is a well-tuned instrument for content creators, excelling at a range of general office tasks as well as tasks that require a little more grunt like encoding and 3D rendering. The big attraction is the laptop’s dual displays. They’re the best ones we’ve used in an Asus Zenbook Duo laptop to date with a spate of year-on-year improvements that make the visuals more striking and the cross-screen integration easier than ever before."
