The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is a good fit if you prioritize long battery life and a lightweight, fanless design for quiet general use, with ample performance for everyday tasks running MacOS. On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers more power for 3D and machine learning tasks, engineering software, and gaming due to its high-end processor and dedicated graphics card. The ROG is also suitable for gaming with a high refresh screen, but you will sacrifice battery life and may find it pricier. The MacBook Air's larger screen lacks touch capability, while the smaller, touch-enabled display on the ASUS could benefit creative tasks or presentations. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Air 15 for general use, and gaming and AI.
The Apple MacBook Air's screen offers vivid colors and sharp images due to its high resolution and brightness, which make it excellent for general activities and professional design work where color accuracy is crucial. However, it lacks a high refresh rate, making it less suitable for 3D applications where smooth motion is key. The ASUS ROG Flow, though also featuring a high-quality display with accurate colors for general use and design tasks, falls short in gaming and 3D performance due to its lower refresh rate, despite having a good resolution and panel type.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
