The Apple MacBook Air (2020) is a great choice for those who prioritize portability, battery life, and a high-quality display with accurate colors, making it ideal for general use and light engineering tasks. Its silent operation and robust build quality add to its appeal for everyday use. However, it may not satisfy the needs of intensive gamers or those requiring advanced 3D rendering or machine learning capabilities due to its integrated GPU.
On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 16 (2024) is tailored for users with demanding performance needs, such as gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning. With its powerful CPU and dedicated GPU, it offers superior performance in these areas compared to the MacBook Air. It also features a high refresh rate screen, which is beneficial for fast-motion content and gaming. However, it is bulkier and has a shorter battery life, which might not be as convenient for users who need to work on the go for extended periods. Additionally, its color accuracy is not as high as the MacBook Air's, which might be a consideration for professionals who require precise color representation.
In summary, choose the MacBook Air for its portability, battery life, and excellent display for everyday tasks and light professional work. Opt for the Lenovo Legion 5 16 if you need a laptop that can handle intensive gaming and demanding graphics tasks, accepting that it's less portable and has a shorter battery life. Give Feedback

How the Apple MacBook Air (2020) and the Lenovo Legion 5 16 (2024) compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
