If you prioritize a lightweight and thin design for easy portability, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 may be your better option, but it often comes at a higher cost. On the other hand, the MSI Thin GF63 tends to offer more powerful hardware suitable for gaming or more demanding tasks, though it may sacrifice some portability and battery life. Choose the ASUS if you require a sleek, more travel-friendly laptop that is easy to carry around, and the MSI if your focus is on higher performance for activities like gaming, but you are okay with a bulkier build and shorter battery usage on the go. The ASUS Zenbook S 13 has a better screen than the MSI Thin GF63 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Asus provides a sharper, more vibrant display with higher resolution and brightness, enhancing everyday activities like browsing or watching videos, while the MSI's display, although fair, might not be as eye-catching. In engineering and design, the Asus excels with its breadth of colors, accurately reproducing a wide spectrum necessary for detailed work, something the MSI's display does less effectively. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, meaning fast-paced visuals may not appear as fluid or responsive as they would on a display with a higher refresh rate.

How the ASUS Zenbook S 13 and the MSI Thin GF63 compare to other laptops
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
