You should consider the ASUS Zenbook S 13 if you prioritize a lightweight and slim design for easy portability, and you value a premium build potentially at a higher cost. If your usage includes more processor-intensive tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, gaming, or engineering software, the MSI Raider GE76, despite being heavier and not as portable, may offer stronger performance suited for these activities. It will likely have a shorter battery life due to more powerful hardware. If battery longevity and a compact form are less critical than raw performance, the MSI could be the more appropriate choice. The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook S 13 is only fair.
The MSI Raider GE76 outperforms the ASUS Zenbook S 13 in terms of gaming and 3D capabilities largely because it is equipped with a more powerful Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti graphics card and a much higher screen refresh rate of 240Hz, as opposed to the ASUS's integrated Iris Xe graphics and 60Hz screen. While both have strong CPUs and high-quality displays, the superior GPU and refresh rate in the MSI offer a significantly smoother and more visually detailed gaming experience.

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook S 13 is very good.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13, with its capable CPU, sufficient RAM, and quality screen, supports engineering tasks efficiently, yet its portability is a standout feature, enhanced by a comfortable keyboard and quieter operation, ideal for on-the-go professionals. In comparison, the MSI Raider GE76 offers a more powerful CPU and GPU combo, greater RAM, and superior screen quality, delivering top-notch performance for demanding engineering and design software, but compromises on portability due to its size and weight, and may have louder operating noise.

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 has a better screen than the MSI Raider GE76 for engineering and design, while the MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 and MSI Raider GE76, while both boasting great screen quality for everyday tasks due to their high resolution and bright displays, excel in engineering and design due to their wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate color representation. However, their screens fall short for gaming and 3D applications because they lack the higher refresh rates, which are critical for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals that gamers and 3D designers require. Even though their resolution and panel quality are adequate, without the higher refresh rates, the visual experience won't be as fluid or responsive as what's typically desired in gaming and 3D content creation.

How the ASUS Zenbook S 13 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
