If you prioritize portability and battery life, the ASUS Zenbook S 13 is the lighter option with a longer battery life, featuring an OLED screen which is known for vibrant colors and deep blacks. It also has superior storage and RAM, which could improve its performance for demanding tasks. However, the Zenbook Duo (2024) stands out with a dual-screen design and a higher refresh rate screen, which could be beneficial for multitasking and smoother visuals. The tradeoff for these features is a slightly heavier build and shorter battery life. If you're engaged in regular travel or long work sessions away from power outlets, the Zenbook S 13 could serve you better, while the Zenbook Duo might be more appealing if you work with multiple applications at once and prefer a more interactive touch experience. Both devices boast excellent build quality and high-resolution displays, but if your work demands higher multitasking or you enjoy a unique dual-display setup for productivity, the Zenbook Duo may justify its higher price. How the ASUS Zenbook S 13 and the ASUS Zenbook Duo (2024) compare to other laptops
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."
"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
