If you prioritize a higher resolution display with touch capabilities, the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 with its OLED screen may suit you better, and it offers a larger screen and more RAM which can be beneficial for multitasking. Conversely, the Acer Swift X (2021) includes a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card, which renders it more suitable for tasks that demand more graphical processing power, such as 3D rendering or gaming. However, keep in mind that the Samsung's integrated graphics are not as powerful for such intensive tasks. Both laptops are similarly priced, have similar battery life, and are roughly equivalent in portability, so your choice may hinge on whether you need stronger GPU performance or a touch-enabled OLED display and more memory for multitasking. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 and Acer Swift X (2021) are both good for engineering and design, though the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 is somewhat better.
The Acer Swift X (2021) is suitable for engineering and design due to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, enhancing its capability to handle demanding tasks, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360, with its latest generation Intel i7 CPU and integrated Iris Xe graphics, provides solid performance in a more flexible 2-in-1 form factor with higher RAM, which benefits multitasking and design work on an OLED touchscreen with superior color accuracy. While the Acer has a stronger GPU for intensive tasks, the Samsung offers a better combination of portability, higher RAM, and screen quality for design workflows that benefit from touch interaction and color precision.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360 isn’t a laptop that the Korean manufacturer has shouted from the rooftops about, and it seems to have gotten little attention from anywhere. But, it is absolutely a laptop worth paying attention to. Compared to higher-priced devices, like the Dell XPS 13 (2022) and Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2023), it manages to offer a similar day-to-day experience despite the price difference. It’s really hard to justify the extra cash unless a boosted display is a requirement of yours."
