The Acer Swift X is less expensive and offers good performance for general use with reasonable battery life and a comfortable keyboard, making it suitable for everyday tasks and light gaming or engineering work. It is also slightly more portable. However, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 is a high-performance machine with superior capabilities for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive engineering software, thanks to its higher-end graphics card and processor. It has a higher-resolution touchscreen display that's better for creative work, albeit it will be heavier on your wallet and is slightly less portable due to its weight. Both laptops are good for intensive gaming, but the Surface Laptop Studio 2 provides a better experience for demanding applications and multitasking with its more powerful internals. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 is very good for general use, while the Acer Swift X (2021) is good.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 excels in general use due to its extremely capable CPU, abundant RAM for multitasking, brilliant high-resolution touchscreen, and flexible display hinge for versatile applications, although it has a heavier build and shorter battery life. In contrast, the Acer Swift X (2021) offers adequate performance for everyday tasks with a competent CPU and sufficient RAM, a decent display, and a more lightweight design, making it easier to carry, but it comes with less storage and a lower-resolution, non-touchscreen which may affect the quality of the visual experience.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift X (2021) is good.
The Acer Swift X (2021) is equipped with a mid-range AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, along with sufficient RAM and high-quality screen, making it adept for engineering and design; however, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers a more powerful Intel CPU and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, considerably more RAM and similarly high-quality screen features, hence providing enhanced performance for more demanding engineering and design tasks. While both laptops have qualities like good keyboard and speaker quality and manageable operating noise, the Surface Laptop Studio 2's superior processing power and graphics capability justify its heavier design compared to the more portable Acer Swift X.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Swift X offers a satisfactory display with adequate resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks, but its limited color gamut and standard refresh rate may not satisfy specialized engineering and design needs, nor provide the smooth visuals gamers desire. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio steps up with a higher-resolution and brighter screen, along with broader color coverage critical for precise engineering and creative work, but like the Swift X, falls short for gaming due to a refresh rate that can't match the fast-paced requirements of 3D environments. Both laptops present displays that excel in general use and professional applications but are less ideal for high-end gaming where high refresh rates are crucial for optimal performance.

"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
