If you prioritize higher graphics performance for tasks like video editing or gaming, the Acer Swift X with its Nvidia graphics card stands out, although it is usually slightly pricier and has half the storage of the Dell Inspiron. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 16 offers more screen space with a larger and sharper display, more RAM, and a bigger built-in storage, making it potentially better for multitasking and productivity, and it is a bit lighter on the wallet. Consider the Acer if portability is a concern, as it is lighter and has a smaller footprint, whereas the Dell is heavier but may be more suited for users who favor a larger screen and longer battery life for general use. How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
