The Acer Swift X offers significantly more storage space and a more powerful graphics card, making it suitable for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and some gaming. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, which might affect portability. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14 is lighter and usually less expensive, but with half the storage and a less capable graphics card, it might struggle with demanding tasks. Both have good build quality and similar screen attributes, but if you frequently engage in performance-intensive activities, the Acer Swift X would be a better fit, despite being less portable and more costly. The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook 14 for general use, gaming and AI, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a sharp and bright display for everyday tasks like browsing the web or working with documents, the Acer Swift X has a better screen suited for that purpose. For engineering and design work, where accurate colors are crucial, both laptops are competent, but take into consideration that not all models cover professional color gamuts extensively. Gamers and those into 3D applications who need smooth motion should be aware that neither of these laptops have high refresh rates typically desired for these activities.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the ASUS Zenbook 14 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."
