When deciding between the Acer Swift X (2021) and the ASUS Vivobook 15X considering your specific needs is crucial. The Acer Swift X, with its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card, is better suited for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. However, while its battery life is more robust, it is heavier, which could affect portability. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 15X, though typically less expensive, might offer lower performance due to its integrated AMD Vega 7 graphics. Its lighter weight may make it more portable, but it has a shorter battery life. Both come with similar storage and RAM, fundamental for general use and engineering tasks. If you prioritize performance for specialized tasks and longer battery life, the Acer could be your pick; but for everyday use with better portability and a lower price, the ASUS might suffice. How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the ASUS Vivobook 15X compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
