If you prioritize a lighter and more compact laptop with higher portability and a better battery life, the Acer Swift X (2022) would be a better choice. It also has a brighter screen with higher resolution, which can be beneficial for general use and engineering tasks that require attention to detail. However, if you are seeking higher performance for 3D, machine learning, or gaming and are willing to accept a heavier device with a slightly less battery life, the MSI Cyborg 15 could be more suitable due to its more powerful graphics processing unit. Keep in mind, the MSI also has a higher refresh rate display which could be advantageous for gaming. The Acer is generally more expensive, so if cost is a major concern, the MSI offers a compelling value proposition despite some compromises in portability and battery life. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI Cyborg 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift X, with a superior panel type and higher resolution, offers sharper and more vivid visuals for general use and detailed work in engineering and design due to better color accuracy and coverage of professional color gamuts. However, it falls short for gaming and 3D applications as its refresh rate is lower, making fast-paced visuals less smooth. In contrast, the MSI Cyborg 15 delivers adequate quality for everyday tasks and design work, but its fair screen specifications do not excel in any particular area, and the lower refresh rate also hampers its performance in gaming and 3D content where fluid motion is crucial.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
