For performance in tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, the Acer Swift X with its dedicated graphics card offers more power, but it may have shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo ThinkPad X13, which is known for durability and often has better battery performance but might not handle intensive graphics tasks as well. The ThinkPad typically features a more robust build quality and keyboard experience, making it a favorite for business users who prioritize typing comfort and reliability over raw performance. If portability and long battery life trump the need for high-end graphics, the Lenovo could be a better fit, otherwise, for graphics-heavy applications, the Acer Swift X would be the better choice. Considering these laptops, the Acer Swift X and Lenovo ThinkPad X13 feature displays with suitable resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and engineering work, making texts sharp and content vibrant, which is essential for both general productivity and detailed design tasks. For engineering and design, their color accuracy across different spectrums is crucial for professionals who rely on precise color representation for their work. However, neither laptop excels in gaming or 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, meaning animations and fast-paced visuals won't be as smooth as on displays optimized for these purposes.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G4 has very good input devices, a wide array of security features and ports as well as 5G in the tested configuration. It is more compact and lightweight compared with its predecessor, and it has improved speakers and a slightly better webcam. On the other hand, the fan is more annoying and the performance is barely improved. The battery is worse as well, but this is primarily attributable to the OLED screen - if this aspect is important, buyers should choose the IPS Low Power LCD."
